Daraja Choirn Fall Tour 2010 1 Comment

During the summer tour the Daraja choir ran into a fire engine in Winter Park, Florida. It was such a fun learning experience, and today the choir had the opportunity to learn even more. Earlier today the awesome firefighters at the Kent Island Fire Department invited the kids into their Firehouse for a full tour of their facility. The choir got to see everything from where the crew sleeps to what they wear inside a burning building. Sooo neat!

P.S. “Moto Moto” means “Fire Fire” in Swahili!

  1. It was so much fun to see the kids trying on all of the gear and “driving” the trucks. The firefighters who helped told me that this has been the best class they have ever worked with because of their interest and desire to learn. Thank you for allowing us the extra time spent with the entire group! You are all an inspiration to me and my family. Changes are already happening in our lives from your short visit with us. Much Love, The Winn’s.
