Today we had our first nighttime concert. We set up the sound system in the center of the house, so I had a great view of not only the choir but of the faces of those watching. It felt like God had laid his hand on every individual in the place. It was so much more than tears or any basic emotions, but evidence of a complete renewal of spirit. God was so intimately present that I wasn’t sure how to react.
The kids were full of life and energy. Even though I was admittedly counting my mistakes as I worked the sound system, none of that hardly mattered. God was there and despite all of the things seemingly working against us, He made His presence known. Somehow, that increases my faith. It makes me see and trust that God has control.
